___________________________________________________________
Toni's Play
of the Week:
Comstock Resources, Inc. (CRK) engages in the
acquisition, development, production, and exploration of oil and
natural gas. The company has onshore operations in the east Texas,
north Louisiana, and south Texas regions, as well as in Mississippi.
CRK is a company that has been making new highs once again over the
past week, moving steadily higher on a daily uptrend. This makes it
less-than-ideal as a new position trade at this time. What does catch
my attention, however, is the fact that CRK broke free from a choppy
2-year base at highs over the last two months. Often an initial upsurge
will be followed by a retracement back into that earlier congestion
zone. It is this potential that I will be watching for in the next
couple of months to initiate a buy for a continuation. This pattern
will take some time to develop and any move to new highs without that
weekly-monthly correction would be on a swingtrade basis only, and not
a position trade. I will provide more details as this pattern
progresses. I have shown in green below how I am looking for this
pattern to play out.
To give you a strong example of what this pattern looks like when
played on, check out CHK. CRK is currently at a comparable weekly
placement in its pattern as compared to the same level that CHK was at
in June. CHK took until the end of August to correct before shooting
higher.
Earnings Call: Tuesday, November 6th
Also of interest:
NDS Group (NNDS)
on a correction on a weekly time frame with a target of $75-$80 over
the next 12-18 months.

letter, check out my new CD course at http://www.swingtrader.net.

Updates on Open Positions
CLICK
HERE for a complete track record since Dec. 2002.*
Positions in green
have triggered and are profitable. Positions in red have triggered but
are not yet profitable. Those in blue
have not yet triggered.
10/15/2007 Chunghwa Telecom
Co., Ltd. (CHT) has been in a trading range for the past
several years. In this
past year the downside as a whole began to slow. There was a nice flush
in August, but the prices rapidly recovered with the strongest upside
momentum of the entire trading range. At this point I will be watching
for basing action and pullbacks on the daily and weekly time frames to
look to take a break in the highs of the channels from these
corrections as a buy trigger. I have drawn one ideal version of this
setup under the candlestick chart to illustrate how this pattern may
play out. The green segments are the ones which would have yet to
develop. An earlier trigger may occur, but the risk would then be
higher for a larger correction back into the range before it would be
able to continue higher once more.
10/8/2007 TheStreet.com Inc.
(TSCM) gave an initial buy
trigger on 10/8/2007 over $13.44. It has highs thus far of $14.68. It
now is likely to correct on the daily time frame and possibly the
weekly time frame. A gradual correction will provide a lower risk
opportunity to enter this position or add to it.
Other stocks of interest: GEF and BFAM
long.
10/1/2007 FormFactor, Inc.
(FORM) - I am watching for a base to form on the weekly/monthly
time frames for a breakout from this third test of highs on these time
frames.
Other stocks to watch: PAYX, HSP, and CHRW
10/1/2007 Pain
Therapeutics, Inc. (PTIE)

(BCR)
gave an "early" buy trigger on 9/26/2007 over $87.46. It has highs so
far
of $89.96 (+$2.50, +2.86%). A lower risk
entry will be to wait for a pullback to buy on the weekly time frame.
9/24/2007 Adtran Inc. (ADTN)
pff watch list.
9/24/2007 United Parcel
Service Inc. (UPS)
gave an initial buy trigger on 10/01/2007 at $75.54. It has highs so
far

entry will be to wait for a longer pullback to buy on the weekly time
frame.
9/10/2007 Cheesecake
Factory Inc. (CAKE)
gave an initial short trigger on 9/10/2007 under $24.07. It has lows so

+18.42%).

Incorporated (IRM) gave a
continuation buy setup on 8/31/2007 at $28.14. It has highs so far of
$33.30 (+$5.16, +18.34%). My initial target is $40.
8/6/2007 Chesapeake Energy
Corporation (CHK) gave an initial
setup on
8/31/2007 over $32.06, but it can still have one more flush left in it
on the monthly time time. It has highs of $38.48
(+$6.42, +20.02%).

Telekomikasi Indonesia Sponsored ADR (TLK)
