TheStreet.com Inc.
(TSCM) engages in the creation and distribution of business,
investment, and ratings content through Web sites, email services,
print publications, and audio and video programming. Beginning in the
summer of 2006, TSCM has fallen into a trading range on the weekly and
monthly time frames. The volume has been in steady decline throughout
this past year to confirm a lack of eager investors, but also a lack of
concerned sellers. Over the past couple of weeks TSCM has risen very
strongly off the lows of the trading range with the strongest upside
momentum of the entire trading range. Since the monthly chart shows a
two-wave correction, it is very likely that we can now see a strong
breakout from the trading range on the upside. Due to the extension on
the daily time frame, there is a higher risk of simply entering at this
level. I would prefer an entry on a correction off these highs, ideally
on declining volume and slow downside momentum. It is possible,
however, that this not stop here and might not correct well until it's
moved another point or so. This is a stock with some nice long-term
potential, so easing into a position in TSCM is the most likely
strategy I will use on this one, picking it up at several levels as the
smaller time frames form buy setups.
Other stocks of interest: GEF and BFAM
long.
